Warsaw Regional Tix Available; Title Game Time Changed Tickets for Warsaw’s Saturday appearance in the boys basketball 4A Michigan City Regional are available from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. today through Friday at the school’s athletic office. The tickets are $10 each and are good for the morning semifinals and the championship game Saturday night. Warsaw will take on East Chicago Central at 12:30 p.m. Eastern time (11:30 a.m. Central time) in the second semifinal. The start time of the championship game has been changed to 8:30 p.m. Eastern time (7:30 p.m. Central time) to make the game most consistent with the start time of other regional finals. Well-wishers are invited to greet the team bus as it departs for the regional. The team will leave at 9:15 a.m. Saturday from the south silo of the Tiger Den. The team will travel from the high school north on Ind. 15 and stay on 15 until exiting onto U.S. 30 toward Michigan City.
Young Tiger Football And Cheerleading Adding A Division Warsaw Young Tiger Football and Cheerleading is adding a division for 7-year-olds for the fall season. The new division will focus on fundamentals, player safety, leadership skills and increased participation. The organization is also looking for additional cheer and football coaches for the fall. The cost is $65 per athlete with a maximum of $120 per family. Registration can be completed from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. March 18, 25 and April 1 at the Pete Thorn Center, 800 N. Park Ave., Warsaw. A copy of the athlete’s birth certificate is needed to complete registration.
Biddy Ball To Start March 18 AKRON – Registration for the 2017 Tippecanoe Valley Lady Viking Biddy Ball camp is now open. Sessions are 9-11 a.m. March 18, 5:30-7:30 p.m. March 20-22 and 9-11 a.m. March 26 at the high school gym. The camp is open to third and fourth-graders, with a registration fee of $10. Players will need to carry their shoes in, wear appropriate clothing and bring their own drinks. The registration deadline is March 14 to be guaranteed a T-shirt. Baseball Camp March 25 Warsaw Tiger Baseball will host a “Shakin’ Off The Rust” camp from 12-2 p.m. March 25. The fielding and hitting-only camp is for players in grades 2-8. The camp will cost $20 and will be held on the Tiger baseball field, or in the Tiger Den in case of inclement weather. Campers should bring proper baseball clothing, a bat, batting helmet and fielding glove. Players are strongly encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Lake City Skiers Seek New Members For 2017 The Lake City Skiers new member sign up day will be held from 2-4 p.m. March 26 at Harrison Elementary School, 1300 Husky Trail, Warsaw. Persons interested in joining the team will be able to talk to the board members and the show director about the team, practices, and show schedule. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The membership fee is $75.00 for individuals or $200.00 for a family membership. A USA Water Ski membership is also required for insurance purposes.
