AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley will begin selling girl’s basketball sectional tickets on Wednesday. Tickets can be purchased inside the athletic office during school hours.
All-Tourney tickets will be sold for $10. Single session will cost $6 and will be sold only at the door.
Valley will play Lakeland in the first game of the tournament at 6 p.m. Jan. 30, with a win, the Lady Vikings will play Wawasee in the first semi-final contest 6 p.m. Feb. 2. The title game will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 3
Manchester HOF Induction Feb. 23
NORTH MANCHESTER – The 2017-18 Manchester High School Athletic Hall Of Fame induction ceremony will be held at halftime of the boys basketball regular-season finale against Eastern (Greentown) Feb. 23.
Individuals to be inducted are Kegan McNeeley, boys soccer and track, and Meika Kennedy, volleyball, basketball and softball. The 1967 boys golf state finalists and the 1973 girls golf state finalists will also be inducted.
Start time for the varsity game is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.
Correction
In Saturday morning’s edition, the box score from Warsaw’s boys basketball game with Concord reported Jaylen Reese as scoring 19 points in Warsaw’s junior varsity game. It should have listed Jaylen Coon as leading the JV Tigers with 19 points. The Times-Union regrets the error.
