Wawasee’s Yoder Named To Gymnastics Academic All-State Team
SYRACUSE – Wawasee’s Autumn Yoder was one of 15 student-athletes named to the gymnastics academic all-state team on Monday by the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association.
The others named were Catherine McGibbon, Kaylee Eurton and Emma DiLavore of Bloomington South; Kennedy Files and Reagan Files of Columbus East; Ashley Holliday of Columbus North; Shannon Harrison and Natalie Thiel of Crown Point; Taylor Jenkins of Homestead; Allyson Meek of New Castle, Madeline VanBuskirk, Veronica VanBuskirk and Elizabeth VanBuskirk of Noblesville and Karyssa Davis of Westview.

Warsaw Regional Tix  Available; Title Game Time Changed
Tickets for Warsaw’s Saturday appearance in the boys basketball 4A Michigan City Regional are available from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. today through Friday at the school’s athletic office. The tickets are $10 each and are good for the morning semifinals and the championship game Saturday night.
Warsaw will take on East Chicago Central at 12:30 p.m. Eastern time (11:30 a.m. Central time) in the first semifinal. The start time of the championship game has been changed to 8:30 p.m. Eastern time (7:30 p.m. Central time) to make the game most consistent with the start time of other regional finals.

Valley Boys BB Awards March 15
AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley boys basketball awards program will be at 7 p.m. March 15 in the high school commons. Refreshments will be served, and the public is invited to attend.

Young Tiger Football And Cheerleading Adding A Division
Warsaw Young Tiger Football and Cheerleading is adding a division for 7-year-olds for the fall season. The new division will focus on fundamentals, player safety, leadership skills and increased participation.
The organization is also looking for additional cheer and football coaches for the fall.
The cost is $65 per athlete with a maximum of $120 per family. Registration can be completed from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. March 18, 25 and April 1 at the Pete Thorn Center, 800 N. Park Ave., Warsaw. A copy of the athlete’s birth certificate is needed to complete registration.

Lady Viking Biddy Ball To Start March 18
AKRON – Registration for the 2017 Tippecanoe Valley Lady Viking Biddy Ball camp is now open. Sessions are 9-11 a.m. March 18, 5:30-7:30 p.m. March 20-22 and 9-11 a.m. March 26 at the high school gym.
The camp is open to third and fourth-graders, with a registration fee of $10. Players will need to carry their shoes in, wear appropriate clothing and bring their own drinks. The registration deadline is March 14 to be guaranteed a T-shirt.

Baseball Camp March 25
Warsaw Tiger Baseball will host a “Shakin’ Off The Rust” camp from 12-2 p.m. March 25. The fielding and hitting-only camp is for players in grades 2-8.
The camp will cost $20 and will be held on the Tiger baseball field, or in the Tiger Den in case of inclement weather. Campers should bring proper baseball clothing, a bat, batting helmet and fielding glove. Players are strongly encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather conditions.

Lake City Skiers Seek New Members
The Lake City Skiers new member sign up day will be held from 2-4 p.m. March 26 at Harrison Elementary School, 1300 Husky Trail, Warsaw.
Persons interested in joining the team will be able to talk to the board members and the show director about the team, practices, and show schedule. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
The membership fee is $75.00 for individuals or $200.00 for a family membership. A USA Water Ski membership is also required for insurance purposes. Information on USA Water Ski membership will be available at the meeting. For more information logon to www.lakecityskiers.org
