Warsaw Sweeps Plymouth
Warsaw swimmers swept Plymouth in a Northern Lakes Conference meet Wednesday. The Lady Tigers won 127-58, and the boys team won 133.5-48.5
Lauren Kuhl and Brenna Morgan were double winners for Warsaw’s girls. Kuhl won the 100 backstroke and 500 freestyle, and Morgan took the 50 and 100 freestyle races.
Other winners were Olivia Herman in the 200 IM, Taylor Gunter in the 100 butterfly, Laurel Moeller in the 200 free and Delaney Wihebrink in the 100 breaststroke.
Evan Borchers and Nick Zogbi won twice each for the Tigers, with Borchers finishing first in the 200 freestyle and the 100 butterfly and Zogbi taking the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke. Other winners were Alex Cook in the 50 free, Conner Mathews  in diving, and Hudson Snyder inn the 500 freestyle.
Both Tiger teams swept their three relay races.
Next up for Warsaw is a non-conference dual meet with visiting Columbia City on Tuesday.

Wawasee Sweeps NorthWood
SYRACUSE – Paige Miller and  Alyssa Koch were double winners for the Lady Warriors, as were Jared Krugman and Isaiah Metcalf for the Wawasee boys in a sweep of NorthWood in a Northern Lakes Conference dual swim meet Tuesday.
Miller won the 200 and 500 freestyle races, and Koch took the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke. Krugman won the 200 IM and 100 backstroke, and Metcalf won the 50 and 100 freestyles.
Tessa Freel won the 50 free and Shelby Adams won the 100 breaststroke for the Lady Warriors. Brett Willaman won the 200 freestyle. Austin Dunithan the diving, Brady Robinson the 500 free and Spencer Naugler the 100 backstroke for the Warriors. Both the boys and girls teams won all three of their relay races.
Since Wawasee and Plymouth completed its dual on Saturday, the next meet for the Warrior swimmers is set for Jan. 3 at Northridge.

Lady Warriors Beat BC
SYRACUSE – Hannah Haines had 14 points, and Aubrey Schmeltz added 11 in Wawasee’s 49-34 non-conference girls basketball win over Bethany Christian Tuesday night.
In the junior varsity game, Hannah Lancaster, Sara Pritchard and Caitlin Wortinger had eight points each in the Lady Warriors’ 48-12 win over the Lady Bruins.
Now 5-7 overall, Wawasee will take on Northern Lakes Conference foe Warsaw in the famous court in Knightstown on Saturday.

Squire Wrestlers Split
SPEICHERVILLE – Manchester lost a 42-42 tiebreaker with No. 6 Lewis Cass, narrowly missing an upset, and beat host Northfield 72-12 in a dual wrestling meet Tuesday.
Michael Wirsing, Collin Meggison, Delton Moore, Quentin Moore and Juan Ramirez each won twice for the Squires. The Moore brothers each have a 13-1 record this season.
Tyce Rooney, Braxtin Wilson, Jackson Mathias, Reece Adamiec, Braden Fortner, Wade France, Andrew Cagle, Ashton Moore and Kevin McIntyre each won once for Manchester.
Manchester will compete in the Wawasee Invitational on Saturday.

No. 1 Lady ‘Cats Win
LIGONIER – Whitko, 2A’s No. 1 girls basketball team, sank 30 of 36 free throws in a 77-67 non-conference win at West Noble Tuesday night.
Senior Aly Reiff scored 31 points and eclipsed 1,500 points in her Whitko career. classmates Brianna Cumberland and Hanna Yohe had 17 and 12 points, respectively, and the upperclassman trio combined to hit 25 of 31 free throws.
Whitko, 11-1, hosts 3A No. 6 Tippecanoe Valley Saturday night in a game expected to have Three Rivers Conference title implications. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.
