Third-graders from Kosciusko County traveled this morning to the Shrine Circus at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, Fort Wayne. Shriner and Circus Chair Tony Ciriello said the schools represented included Warsaw, Wawasee, Whitko, Tippecanoe Valley, Triton, Sacred Heart School, Warsaw Christian School and Cardinal Services. The annual trip is sponsored by the Mizpah Temple and the Kosciusko County Shrine Club. In the 71 years of the existence of the circus, the Kosciusko Shriners have taken third-graders to it for 67 years. Including students, teachers, Shriners, bus drivers and escorts, a total of 1,480 were traveling to the circus today. Numerous police and fire agencies provided the non-stop escort from here to the Coliseum. “It’s three rings of fun,” said Shriner John Sadler.
