MENTONE – Ann Bryant, 95, of Mentone, and formerly of Akron, passed at 10:34 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019.
She was born July 10, 1923, in South Bend, to Valentine and Martha Langner Sobecki. She was married on Feb. 2, 1944, in St. Adalbert Catholic Church of South Bend, to David L. Bryant, who preceded her on Nov. 16, 2010.
Ann was a homemaker and in earlier years she volunteered for the United Way.
She attended Washington High School of South Bend. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was an avid Notre Dame fan for many years.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Jo (and husband Gary) Dixon, Valparaiso; two sons, James (and wife Karen) Bryant, Warsaw, and Robert (and wife Sue) Bryant, Pendleton; five grandchildren: Michael (and wife Andrea), Kevin (and wife Emily), Betsy (and husband Mark), Eric (and wife Christin) and Neal; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Emily Williams, Stringer, Miss
She was preceded by her parents; husband, David; three sisters; and three brothers.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, in King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone. Pastor Jason Rice will officiate.
Burial will be in Nichols Cemetery, Akron.
