After 23 years of seemingly dedicated service to our community it seems suspect that Mr. Jerry Clase has been derelict in doing his duty regarding animal control of recent times.
When I read that Mr. Clase used "abusive" measures to control a pit bull, I am thinking, who would like this job? And do it without extreme "measures", in that case.
On a personal note, I can certainly say that he was "Jack on the spot" when I caught at different times, two feral cats and a raccoon, in a live trap, within the last six weeks.
And Darla McCammon is a dear, hardworking, dedicated person in whatever activity I've known her to do. I've known Darla for four or five years.
I do hope that these reports of abuse are investigated ... particularly the sources.
For heaven's sake, why not let these people do their job and forget the nitpicking?
