Editor, Times-Union: I read the great story in Saturday's Times-Union, of EMS units from Warsaw and many other places in Indiana, traveling to the East Coast of the United States to help out with the hurricane relief efforts. Those efforts make me very proud to be an American. Where else on the planet would such a relief effort be joined together and carried out by such a group of skilled medical technicians and workers, and of their own volition? America is resilient because this is a country where we care for and help one another, in the traditions of our Christian heritage. Even when those in need are a great distance away. Bravo to the EMS! Rick Wagner Pierceton, via e-mail
