Alvin Henry Miller Sr., 71, of Leesburg, died Dec. 1, 2007, in his residence.
He was born Dec. 29, 1935, in Auburn, to Russell and Thelma Dragoo Miller. On Dec. 27, 1958, in Warsaw, he married Donnis Johnson, who died in October 2000.
Living most of his life in Kosciusko County, he was a driver for Kosciusko County Highway Dept., retiring in 2000, after 39 years of service. He was a member of Dutchtown Brethren Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Terry Shepherd, Winona Lake, and Julie Yoder, Warsaw; a son, Alvin H. Miller Jr., Warsaw; seven grandchildren; his mother, Thelma Taylor, Columbia City; a sister, Theda (and spouse Vernon) Neel, Huntington; and companion, Beverly Hall, Leesburg. He was preceded in death by his father, a stepbrother and a stepsister.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Rev. Jack Worth of Dutchtown Brethren Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
