Alcohol

Wine is a mocker, beer a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise. - Proverbs 20:1.

Alcohol destroys lives, families, marriages, relationships, friendships, people’s careers and also their health. Nothing good ever comes from alcohol. It always takes and never gives. It destroys all things good and descent. According to the CDC, 88,000 people die a year from alcohol. All lives matter! Alcohol is a drug, an addiction, a mind-altering substance, a worthless idol and a very big waste of money. Alcohol has never done anyone any favors. Alcohol is no one’s friend. Alcohol is bondage, not freedom.

The fist thing to go, after a person has been drinking, is their common sense. It makes people do things they either regret doing or things they don’t remember doing. In other words, dumb and stupid things. Big Alcohol doesn’t care if someone lives or dies or gets hooked on their poison. All they care about is padding their pockets and getting their poison out the door. Follow the money.

To those who use alcohol to escape reality and drown your sorrows, sure your problems go away for a short period of time, but after you sober up those problems are back staring you in the face again. Is it fun to wake up feeling like a Mac truck ran over you and then backed up over you? How about experiencing bed spins or puking your guts up, or not knowing how you got where you woke up, or wondering where you went to and spent a lot of money? Saying that alcohol relaxes you, that is a lie from the pit of hell. Alcohol can make some people paranoid. I encourage people to save your money and stay away from alcohol completely. It is nothing but trouble. Why trouble? Jesus is the answer, not drugs or alcohol. If you are going to get drunk, get drunk on the Holy Spirit. It’s better for you; and won’t cost you any money.

Another thing alcohol leads a person down the path of destruction, misery, hopelessness, anxiety and being broke. Alcohol can and will destroy a person’s life. Alcohol doesn’t satisfy, only Jesus does. He is the only one who can completely satisfy your needs and bring a person total joy and happiness in their lives.

I have come that they may live and have it to the full. -John 10:10b
