Editor, Times-Union: During this general election we have seen many actions along with endorsement news feeds. My letter to you today is to bring some accountability to some of this. Curt Nisly has been endorsed by former state senator Kent Adams, along with state Reps. Harmon and Wolkins. Also, U.S. Congressman Marlin Stutzman has been a great supporter. This coming Saturday, Governor Mike Pence and his state Republican team will be in town in support of Curt Nisly, the Republican candidate. The Democrat candidate has only two notable political endorsements. A U.S. Senator and current state superintendent of schools. The senator’s endorsement itself comes with a lot of questions because of what he has stood for and voted for. #1. Obamacare, the single most expensive law ever passed. Millions of dollars in cost and millions of Americans that have lost the health care they already had. #2. The medical device tax, the effect of this tax alone in this community should make one denounce this endorsement by itself. #3. Abortion, even though the senator has said he is pro-life along with the Democrat candidate. They both support the Democratic Party's policy in which they donate money to organizations which offer abortion on demand. Think about it, people. As for the state superintendent of schools, no superintendent before has ever cause this much turmoil in the office, all with our children and grandchildren's education in the balance. On one side we have Curt Nisly, the Republican candidate supported and endorsed by many other conservatives like himself; then on the Democratic side we have a candidate who by the endorsements he has received should give you an indication on how he would vote and how liberal he would stand. Please join me in support of the conservative platform this Nov. 4 by voting for the Republican candidate, Curt Nisly, for House District 22. George A. Dockery Lunchpail Republican Larwill, via email
