The Grace track and field teams took advantage of decent weather and the opportunity to run at home in competition at the annual Lancer Invitational. The Key Track and Field Complex hosted the event for the fifth time since the facility opened in 2017.

Wawasee held a one-run lead with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning Monday, April 25 in a Northern Lakes Conference baseball game on the turf at Northridge’s D-Bat Elkhart Field. The host Raiders — which not not get a hit off Warriors senior right-hander Grant Brooks until the sixth inning — used a double by Gavin Collins, a Wawasee fielding miscue on a ball hit by Harrison Slabaugh and a walk-off two-run ground-rule double by Max Horner for a 5-4 victory.

Grace’s softball team produced a split in its doubleheader against Spring Arbor on Senior Day. The Lady Lancers (12-27, 9-19 Crossroads League) and Cougars played a pair of low-scoring outings with Grace winning the opener 2-1 and losing the second 3-1 on Friday.
