It was Tippecanoe Valley that was celebrating early, but the Manchester Lady Squires who would be doing the final celebration in a 3-2 (18-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-21, 16-14) comeback victory over the Lady Vikings Thursday night. Manchester is now 5-11 after snapping its seven-game losing streak, 2-3 in the Three Rivers Conference. Tippy Valley falls to 6-7, 2-3 in the TRC.

After a very long game last week against Peru, Tippecanoe Valley head coach Steve Moriarty made a point to his players for this week’s game against the Manchester Squires.

A week after opening Northern Lakes Conference action with a massive 70-0 win over Plymouth, the Warsaw Tigers would earn a shut out victory by a little closer of a margin, defeating Concord 19-0 on the road Friday night. The Tigers are now 4-0 this season and 2-0 in the NLC.

The 2021 Triton Trojans football team was its own worst enemy when they hosted the Bremen Lions in last year’s 35-7 loss fraught with turnovers, and opportunities handed to the Lions in short field, unable to bounce back after early setbacks.

The sixth annual Don Dicken Appreciation Tournament Scramble will be held Saturday, September 24 at 1:30 p.m.

The Warsaw Tigers boys’ soccer side jumped ahead 1-0 on striker Eduardo Escutia’s goal at the third minute and maintained their sense of urgency deep into last night’s match for an insurance goal by Tito Sanchez (71’) in a 2-0 win over the 10th-ranked Penn Kingsmen at the Tiger Soccer Complex.

It looked to be a quick and painless victory for Triton volleyball Thursday night, with the Trojans up two sets to none and winning both fairly easily. But Tippecanoe Valley had different plans.

Grace’s volleyball team had a strong start to the Crossroads League season, sweeping Goshen 3-0 on Wednesday.

Warsaw tennis suffered a nonconference loss at the hands of Homestead Wednesday, falling 4-1 at home.

Chip Coldiron says he was given the choice of resigning or being relieved of his duties as head football coach at Whitko High School. He says he chose the latter because “I’m not quitting” on the players.

Coming off of a 9-0 win over the weekend, it was Lakeland Christian who was on the opposite end of a blowout Tuesday night, losing 4-0 to Blackhawk Christian. The Cougars are now 2-6 this fall.

Grace’s men’s soccer team picked up a 4-2 victory over No. 5 Oklahoma Wesleyan on Monday afternoon.
