Grace’s women’s basketball team picked up a grueling 71-66 victory over the Taylor Trojans on Saturday afternoon. The victory set a pair of records for Grace. The Lady Lancers set a new record consecutive wins (7) and most wins in the first 10 contests of the season (9).

The Manchester Lady Squires basketball team has had its ups and downs this season, beginning the year with a three-game losing streak and then following it up with three wins in four tries in the team’s next four contests. Looking for its second Three Rivers Conference win in a row Friday night, Manchester played host to the visiting Whitko Lady ‘Cats, a team still searching for its first TRC win of 2022.

Grace College and the Lancers’ baseball program are excited to announce that fundraising is underway for the establishment of Tom Roy - UPI Park. Grace’s new baseball stadium will be named in honor of Tom Roy, a former head coach for the Lancers and founder of Unlimited Potential, Inc. (UPI), an international, 42-year-old organization that ministers to professional baseball players.

Former Notre Dame Football Coach Lou Holtz famously once told one of his teams “adversity is what we look for, because in adversity there is opportunity.” He has since followed up that statement by saying that no one achieves greatness without facing adversity.

Five members of Grace’s women’s soccer team were recognized as All-Americans at the end of the season.

Those in attendance at Rita Price Simpson Court Wednesday night were witness to a historic performance during the battle between the Tippecanoe Valley Lady Vikings and Triton Trojans in a game Tippy Valley won 66-41.

It was a game of runs at Lakeland Christian High School Tuesday night as the Cougars hosted the Triton Trojans. Both teams looked to be separating at various points of the game, but it was Triton that used a big fourth quarter run to pull away for good and come out on top with a 57-51 road victory.

Parkview Sports Medicine (PSM) is launching the PSM Holiday Shootout, a new basketball showcase featuring 13 area high schools.

For the second straight season, Grace’s women’s soccer team ended the year as the NCCAA national champions.

The Warsaw and Ben Davis girls basketball teams had never met before Friday night at the Tiger Den. The first matchup in the series left all in attendance hoping the two teams will play again soon. The Tigers would overcome a late spurt from the visitors and hold on to a 60-50 victory, winning their sixth game in seven tries and moving the team’s record to 6-2.

Sophomore Gavin Betten’s driving basket with 2.5 seconds to play was the game-winner as Manchester topped visiting Wawasee 57-55 Friday, Dec. 2 in back-and-forth non-conference boys basketball.

The Tippecanoe Valley Lady Vikings began their season with a 3-0 mark before falling 72-36 to Warsaw in early November. The loss began a short two game slide but since then, Tippecanoe Valley has won four straight games, three by double digits. The most recent win came on Thursday night, a 62-36 victory over the visiting Plymouth Lady Pilgrims.

A late and-1 from Elijah Malone propelled Grace’s men’s basketball team to a thrilling 63-62 win at Mt. Vernon Nazarene on Wednesday. The No. 2 Lancers (9-0, 3-0 Crossroads League) stayed perfect on the season despite suffering a season-low offensive output.

Grace’s women’s soccer team clinched its spot at the NCCAA national semifinals with a 2-0 win over Judson on Wednesday.

The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings boys basketball team played in their first home game of the season Tuesday night at Rita Price Simpson Court, facing off against the Argos Dragons. The teams traded blows for a quarter and a half before the home side used a monstrous 29-9 advantage in the third quarter to pull away for a 69-32 victory.

Grace’s women’s soccer team began its NCCAA title defense with a 3-1 win over Southwestern Christian on Monday.

A tiny burst to begin the second half gave Wawasee what turned out to be a lead it would not relinquish as visiting Wawasee bested Angola 56-44 Saturday, Nov. 26 in non-conference boys basketball.

Grace’s men’s basketball team topped 90 points for the fifth time this season, breezing by Goshen 94-58 on Tuesday. The No. 3-ranked Lancers (8-0, 2-0 Crossroads League) continued their perfect start to the season by winning their eighth straight contest.

Fairfield seized momentum in the second half and beat Wawasee in 74-65 Tuesday, Nov. 22 in season-opening non-conference boys basketball at the Hardwood Teepee.

It wasn’t pretty at times, especially down the stretch, but the Triton Trojans girls basketball team hung tough and executed when it mattered most to escape from a nonconference matchup against NorthWood with a 41-40 win at the Trojan Trench.
