Brooke Zartman scored 14 of Warsaw’s first 16 points and surpassed Kelci Freds’s single season record of 60 three-point baskets in the Warsaw Lady Tigers’ convincing 61-21 opening round Class 4A Sectional 4 win over the Concord Minutemen at McCuen Gym Tuesday night. The Tigers defeated Concord for the second time in 11 days.

Hosting 3A No. 1 NorthWood at the Tiger Den Friday night with huge Northern Lakes Conference implications, the Warsaw Tigers fought valiantly for all four quarters but were unable to convert enough chances to pull off the victory. The Panthers won 53-36 for their first triumph at the Tiger Den in just over 20 years.
Grace’s men’s basketball team secured the season sweep over No. 16 Marian on Wednesday, grinding out an 80-70 victory.

It didn’t come easy, but the Tippecanoe Valley Lady Vikings made it four wins in a row Tuesday night, defeating Wawasee 47-35 at the Hardwood Teepee. After taking a brief lead just seconds into the game, Valley didn’t lead again until midway through the third quarter. The Lady Vikings did not trail again.
Grace College student-athletes Halley Krochta, Cameron Bergstrom and Madison Ramsey were recently named to the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Ohio Conference All-Star Team.
Warsaw and Tippecanoe Valley added some hardware to their respective trophy cases Saturday, winning the second of back-to-back conference titles in the Northern Lakes and Three Rivers conferences.
Grace’s women’s basketball team extended its win streak to four games after beating Huntington 76-61 on Saturday afternoon.
The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings’ Tayde Kiser erupted for 21 second-half points, leading all scorers with 23 for the evening in Valley’s sixth straight win. The Vikings moved to 11-3 and 4-1 in the Three Rivers Conference behind co-leaders Manchester and Peru with a 62-47 win over the Southwood Knights.
It was a night of many celebrations for the Warsaw faithful Friday night, as those in attendance not only got to see the Tigers snap a short two-game skid against the Concord Minutemen with a 52-35 victory, but were also witness to senior captain Jaxson Gould reaching the 1,000-point milestone for his career.
Junior Collin Ziebarth scored 20 of his season-high 26 points in the second half to help Wawasee top Plymouth 55-40 Friday, Jan. 20 in Northern Lakes Conference boys basketball at the Hardwood Teepee.

Grace’s men’s basketball team wrapped up one of the quickest season sweeps in the storied rivalry with Bethel on Wednesday.
The Lady Tigers had their modest three-game win streak snapped in a 62-54 loss at Homestead Wednesday.

It was a tale of two halves at the Hardwood Teepee Tuesday night as the Wawasee Warriors girls’ basketball team hosted the Whitko Lady ‘Cats in a nonconference showdown. The first half was a grind controlled by the visitors before a strong second half from the Warriors proved to be the difference in a 54-41 victory for Wawasee.
WCHS girls’ basketball team received an IHSAA Exemplary Behavior Report for their conduct at the January 11 game against Mishawaka. The exemplary behavior was recognized by Sherry Keyser, Assistant Athletic Director at Mishawaka High School.
Grace's men's basketball team continued its winning ways, dispatching Huntington 93-82 on Saturday afternoon. The No. 6 Lancers (17-2, 7-2 Crossroads League) had six players score in double figures in a complete offensive performance. Grace's 17 wins are the second-most in the NAIA.

The Manchester boys basketball team hasn’t lost many games this season, but one of the teams to hand them a loss was conference rival Wabash in an end-of-the-year tournament a few weeks ago. With a chance to avenge the loss, the Squires came out gun blazing and got revenge with a 71-60 victory at home Friday night. Manchester is now 10-2 on the campaign, matching last year’s win total with a month and half to go in the regular season.
