The 2023 Northern Lakes Conference track and field championship meet Tuesday night ended at the oval in Fisher Field with a sea of orange and black in midfield to hoist NLC championship hardware for Warsaw’s boys and girls track squads.
Tippecanoe Valley senior Kaydence Mellott was surrounded by family as she signed her letter of intent to play basketball at Franklin College next season.

Grace College’s softball team had three players earn recognition on the All-Crossroads League team following the 2023 season. Jeri Ellis headlined the honorees for the Lancers. Ellis was voted second team team All-Crossroads League, and was also chosen as a Gold Glove recipient.
The Warsaw baseball team played host to Northern Lakes Conference leading Mishawaka Tuesday night, taking part in a highly competitive, clean game. The contest stayed close for the first six innings before the Cavemen exploded offensively in the seventh to pull away for a 6-2 victory. The Tigers are now 11-8-1 this spring, 6-4 in the NLC.
A ribbon cutting was held at the Grace College disc golf course Tuesday afternoon to commemorate brand new signs and tee pads for the nine-hole course.

Friday evening and Saturday morning were fun-filled and action-packed for the Warsaw Lady Tigers softball team. Despite Friday’s 19-9 loss to Goshen, and Saturday’s 24-5 loss to Rochester, the Lady Tigers have maintained a “fun-filled” spirit in every contest in their 2023 campaign.

Two of the top area tennis teams met at Manchester High School Friday night, as the Lady Squires hosted the Lady ‘Cats of Whitko in a make-up match that was originally scheduled for Tuesday. Manchester continued its fantastic start to the season by winning the match 5-0 to improve its record to 11-1, 5-0 in the Three Rivers Conference. The loss brings Whitko’s record down to 8-3.

Momentum switched multiple times at Whitko High School Wednesday night, as Tippecanoe Valley and the Lady ‘Cats engaged in a close, back-and-forth Three Rivers Conference game. In the end, the early-inning runs scored by Valley would be enough to stay in front in the end as the Lady Vikings notched a 6-4 win. Valley is now 9-4 this season (3-0 TRC), while Whitko falls to 1-10 (0-4).

There have been four previous Princess relays since 2018 where the Warsaw Lady Tigers track and field team have customarily been one of the top two finishers in team points, including team titles in 2018 and 2021.
The final day of the 2023 regular season was one for the history books for Grace's baseball team. Two single season individual records were broken, one team record was broken and another one was tied. All of these accomplishments were a part of the Senior Day celebration on Saturday afternoon.

A berth in the Crossroads League tournament comes down to the final series for Grace’s baseball team. The Lancers find themselves in the driver's seat with two games remaining. The four-game series against Bethel kicked off with each team taking a game on Thursday afternoon.
It’s been a busy, and successful, week for the Warsaw Lady Tigers tennis team, playing their fourth match in as many days against conference foe Wawasee Thursday afternoon. The Lady Tigers continued their solid week with their third win, taking the match 5-0. Warsaw is now 4-4 this season, 3-1 in the Northern Lakes Conference.
The Warsaw Lady Tigers softball team entered the bottom of the seventh inning trailing the Northridge Raiders 8-3 but batted through the entire order scoring 6 runs to finish off the Raiders 9-8 with two outs left in the final frame at the Tiger Softball Complex Wednesday night.
