The Wawasee and Manchester volleyball teams have begun the 2023 campaign in similar ways. Going into Tuesday night’s nonconference matchup, both teams were 4-3. After a very competitive game that was much closer than the final score indicated, it was the Lady Warriors improving to 5-3 with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-20) win.

With the start of the 2023-24 season finally here for Grace College’s women’s golf, there will be many new faces that lead the charge forward this fall.

The fantastic start to the season that Warsaw boys soccer has enjoyed this fall got even better on Monday night. Hosting Plymouth for the team’s first Northern Lakes Conference game of the season, the Tigers throttled the Rockies, winning 7-0 to remain undefeated this season at 6-0, 1-0 in the NLC.

Grace College’s men’s soccer team closed out the opening week of the season with an impressive 4-0 victory over Governors State on Saturday afternoon.

For the second straight season, the Warsaw Tigers football team played its Week 2 game against Chesterton. Unlike last year’s 24-7 win however, the Tigers had to battle a bit harder to come away with a victory. The unorthodox score on the scoreboard means little to Warsaw fans, as their team is now 2-0 after an 8-6 road victory on Friday night.

While recent years have told us that football conferences and the teams that occupy them don’t last forever, one fact that remains about the sport is that rivalries certainly do.

Grace’s College's 16th ranked men’s soccer bested No. 13 Oklahoma Wesleyan 2-0 on Thursday night.

Warsaw (1-0) at Chesterton (0-1), Tippecanoe Valley (1-0) at Rochester (1-0), Wawasee (0-1) at West Noble (1-0), Manchester (1-0) at Bluffton (1-0), Whitko (1-0, 0-0 TRC) at Peru (1-0, 0-0), Triton (1-0) at LaVille (1-0)

A white-hot start to the season for the Warsaw boys and girls cross country teams got even better on Tuesday evening, as both teams were able to secure victories in the annual Tiger Invitational race. The Tigers weren’t the only local team competing however, as Manchester and Tippecanoe Valley were in attendance as well.

The Warsaw Lady Tiger volleyball team has been no stranger to strong competition early in this 2023 season, with Monday night being no exception. Warsaw welcomed Homestead to the Tiger Den Monday night, where both teams treated spectators to an incredibly competitive and highly-skilled contest. After dropping the first set, the Lady Spartans would come back to earn a 3-1 ( 25-27, 26-24, 25-13, 26-19) win.

After bursting onto the national scene in 2022, Grace College’s men’s soccer team is poised to build on last season’s success and cement themselves among the NAIA elite.

Grace’s volleyball team closed out its opening weekend of play at the Onset Invitational on Saturday.

Football season made its triumphant return to Warrior Field Friday night as the Wawasee Warriors opened up their season by hosting fellow Kosciusko County rival Tippecanoe Valley. The Vikings were able to build a big enough lead in the first half to survive a late Wawasee push and open the year with a 23-12 victory.

Playing their first of three straight games on the road to start the season, the Warsaw Tigers offense wasn’t there for all four quarters against Michigan City on Friday night, but that didn’t matter. A big second half was all the visitors needed to come away with a 17-13 season-opening victory. Warsaw begins its campaign 1-0 for the ninth straight season.

Armed with a collection of experienced members, Grace’s volleyball team marches with confidence into the 2023 campaign.
