Warsaw’s Xavier Francisco Ramirez has signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic careers at Valparaiso University.

WINONA LAKE – The Grace College  softball team made quick work of Bethel on Friday, winning 7-1 and 8-0 at Miller Athletic Complex.

WINONA LAKE – The Grace College baseball team let an early lead fade in a 6-4 loss to Spring Arbor on Friday.

UPLAND – Grace College’s softball team was silenced on the road at Taylor on Thursday. The Lady Lancers (10-26, 4-18 Crossroads League) lost 5-0 and 7-1 to Taylor on the second day of a brutal stretch which sees Grace play doubleheaders on four straight days.

SYRACUSE – The Warsaw Lady Tiger softball team gave Wawasee its first Northern Lakes Conference loss in 25 games on Thursday night, beating the Lady Warriors 8-6 in a hard-fought contest.

SYRACUSE – The Wawasee boys track and field team hosted Northridge and Warsaw on Thursday evening in a Northern Lakes Conference meet. The Tigers defeated both teams, and the Raiders left town with a win over the Warriors.

The Wawasee Warriors scored a lot of runs early and late Thursday evening, as they outlasted rival Warsaw in a three-hour Northern Lakes Conference high school baseball game.

MARION – Grace College’s softball team dropped a pair of road games at No. 11 Indiana Wesleyan on Wednesday by the scores of 7-3 and 6-0.

With the final outcome in the balance Tuesday evening, Warsaw’s Alyssa Zellers delivered once again, lifting the Lady Tigers to a 3-2 girls tennis win over Northern Lakes Conference rival Plymouth.
