Last week, 34 people were arrested for their part in separate FBI investigations into various forms of gambling.

Once sectional opponents, the Warsaw and Penn volleyball teams met a round later than usual on Saturday night, facing off for the regional championship. From the first point onward, it was the Lady Kingsmen that controlled the game and the scoreboard. The end result was another regional heartbreak for the Lady Tigers, as the team fell 3-0.

Winners of five straight games heading into the sectional opener, the Tippecanoe Valley football team was riding high. That came to a screeching halt at Angola High School on Friday night, as the Hornets came out with something to prove, and had no problem proving it. Scoring on the first drive of the game and never looking back, the home team stunned the Vikings with a 21-6 wire-to-wire win in the quarterfinal to put an end to Valley’s season.

A reinvigorated Grace women’s basketball program is ready to tackle the 2025-26 basketball season.

WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace’s volleyball team continued its winning ways, sweeping St. Francis on Wednesday night. The Lancers (14-12, 7-7 Crossroads League) have won three of their past four …

If you know me well, you know that I’m a pretty nostalgic guy.

Tippecanoe Valley (7-2) at Angola (4-5), Wawasee (1-8) at Northridge (2-7), Prairie Heights (0-9) at Manchester (6-3), Whitko (1-8) at Eastside (7-2), Southern Wells (2-7) at Triton (6-3)

What has been nothing short of a magical run for the Warsaw volleyball team continued on Saturday night. Just nine days after winning their fourth straight Northern Lakes Conference title, the Lady Tigers picked up a second “four-peat” to celebrate. With a 3-0 win over Elkhart on Saturday night, Warsaw captured its fourth straight sectional championship.

Welcome to a Saturday morning mixed bag of thoughts.

After righting the ship a tad with a big home win over NorthWood last week, the Warsaw football team remained at home for the regular season finale against Northridge on Friday night. After honoring 14 seniors before the game, the Tigers gave their upperclassmen the greatest gift of all in their final regular season game at Fisher Field: a victory. Using a big second half, Warsaw finished off the campaign with a 34-19 win over the Raiders.

Coming into Friday night’s regular season finale on a four-game winning streak, the Tippecanoe Valley football team looked to stay hot and wrap up the year with a second-place finish in the Indiana Northern State Conference. The Vikings were able to do exactly that, using a big first and third quarter to defeat Bremen 31-7 at Smith-Bibler field.

Fresh off the heels of winning their fourth straight Northern Lakes Conference championship, the Warsaw volleyball team shifted its focus to winning its fourth straight sectional title. With the added benefit of playing at home, the Lady Tigers passed their first test with flying colors on Thursday night, defeating Northridge 3-0 in their quarterfinal game.

I find myself in quite the predicament today.

Northridge (2-6, 2-4 NLC) at Warsaw (5-3, 4-2 NLC), Bremen (5-3, 3-1 INSC) at Tippecanoe Valley (6-2, 3-1 INSC), Wawasee (1-7, 0-6 NLC) at Mishawaka (7-1, 6-0 NLC), Peru (2-6, 2-5 TRC) at Manchester (5-3, 5-2 TRC), Wabash (1-7, 1-6 TRC) at Whitko (1-7, 0-7 TRC), North Miami (6-2, 4-2 HNAC) at Triton (5-3, 4-2 HNAC)

We all have moments in our lives that stand out for us.

Grace College’s men’s basketball team enters the 2025-26 season with a roster full of new faces and high expectations.

The good news for the Warsaw Tigers was that they saved some of their best for last. The bad news was that it was still their last.

Just like David Lee Roth was… sort of… welcomed back into Van Halen, Carmel and Center Grove are now welcomed to rejoin the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference (MIC).

Looking to get back into the win column after suffering a road loss to Mishawaka last week, The Warsaw football team welcomed their next test, the NorthWood Panthers, to Fisher Field on Friday night. Fueled by the defense making some big plays deep in their own zone, the Tigers were able to emerge victorious with a 28-7 win in the Northern Lakes Conference clash.

The Warsaw girls soccer team had to wait until Thursday evening to begin sectional tournament play after getting a bye in the blind draw. Facing off against Elkhart, the Lady Tigers asserted themselves from the opening whistle, scoring three goals in the first half to fuel a 5-0 victory at Goshen High School.

A few weeks ago, I made the disclaimer that I did not watch a ton of football the previous weekend due to going to a WWE event. I have the same disclaimer this week, but for different reasons. It was Stef’s birthday on Saturday, so I was out of commission for most of the weekend doing some of her favorite activities. Sadly, watching hours upon hours of football is not one of them.

NorthWood (4-3, 3-2 NLC) at Warsaw (4-3, 3-2 NLC), Tippecanoe Valley (5-2, 2-1 INSC) at John Glenn (2-5, 1-3 INSC), Wawasee (1-6, 0-5 NLC) at Concord (6-1, 4-1 NLC), Maconaquah (7-0, 6-0 TRC) at Manchester (5-2, 5-1 TRC), Whitko (1-6, 0-6 TRC) at Southwood (2-4, 2-5 TRC), Triton (5-2, 4-1 HNAC) at Pioneer (6-1, 5-0 HNAC)
