Kellie Jean Warner, 50, Warsaw, passed away at 7:44 a.m. Jan. 30, 2017,  in her residence.  She was born Jan. 10, 1967, in Warsaw, to Kelly and Mary Hall Coburn. On Aug. 5, 2007, in Claypool, she was united in marriage to Chuck Warner, who survives.

MENTONE – Harold O. Hile, 82, rural Mentone, died the morning of Jan. 31, 2017, at his residence. He was born Nov. 25, 1934, in Warsaw, to Harold A. and Violet Jones Hile. He married Bonnie Kay Kindig on June 17, 1962, in Warsaw; she survives. He retired from Zimmer,  Warsaw, in 1998. He also was in the automobile sales for Bledsoe Buick and Pontiac of Warsaw for 20 years.

Paul M. Berger, 69, Warsaw, passed away at 8:50 a.m. Jan. 20, 2017, in his residence. On Nov. 12, 1947, he was born in Warsaw to Paul and Mary Adelaine Sponseller Berger. He was united in marriage to Linda Burnett on Dec. 21, 1979, in Warsaw; she survives.

Janavee Prater, 76, Roann, passed away at 7:51 p.m. Jan. 29, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.  She was born Nov. 16, 1940, to Creed and Barbara Bradley Flannery in Floyd County, Ky. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church, Claypool, where she was very active serving her Lord in the children’s church and the Ladies Circle, along with many more. 

Armin C. Mueller, 84, Warsaw, passed away at 12:10 a.m. Jan. 29, 2017, in Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born Dec. 17, 1932, in South Bend, to Alfred J. and Angela A. Aeppler Mueller. On May 11, 1956, in Warsaw, he was united in marriage to Beverly Rapp, who died Dec. 20, 1988.

Robert L. Lockridge, 88, Warsaw, passed away at 3:50 a.m. Jan. 30, 2017, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born March 30, 1928, in Warsaw, to John Leslie and Vera Metz Lockridge. He married Rose Priser on Nov. 1, 1947, in Warsaw.

NORTH WEBSTER — Gary D. Kirkwood, 65, Syracuse, passed away at 12:22 a.m. Jan. 26, 2017, at Elkhart General Hospital.  He was born Dec. 31, 1951, in Greenfield, to Millard Stephen and Maidee Walton Pettus Kirkwood. 

MILFORD — William N. “Bill” Bess, 81, Milford, passed away at 6:47 a.m. Jan. 30, 2017, at Elkhart General Hospital.  He was born Jan. 9, 1936, in Franklin, Ohio, to Raymond G. and Anna Imogene Colvin Bess.  He attended Milford High School and was a lifetime Milford area resident. He was first married to Virginia L. “Ginny” Coy, and then on April 10, 1987, in Milford, he married Marilyn L. DeCamp Kasten, who preceded him on Sept. 16, 2009.

BOURBON — Judith B. Motz, 70, Plymouth, passed away Jan. 30, 2017, with her family at her side. She had courageously battled multiple sclerosis for about 34 years. On May 6, 1946, at Bourbon, she was the daughter of Welcome and Geneva Pratt Roose. She was a lifetime resident. 

Doris Katherine Jones passed away at 11:50 a.m. Jan. 30, 2017, in Kosciusko Community Hospital. Known by most simply as “Kate,” she was 89 years old at the time of her death.

MARION — Malcolm Williams, 97, Syracuse, passed away after a short illness on Jan. 29, 2017, at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.  He was born in Howard County on Aug. 7, 1919, to Clyde and Zelpha Williams. When he was 5, his mother died, leaving him and his three siblings. His father married Cecile and the family moved to Swayzee, where Malcolm’s father farmed. Clyde and Cecile had five children, combining with the four children from Clyde’s first marriage as well as three children from Cecile’s first marriage.

Sandra F. Hill, 77, Warsaw, passed away at 12:02 a.m. Jan. 28, 2017, in Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.  She was born Jan. 24, 1940, in Warsaw, to Maurice and Ruth Brown Fidler. Formerly of North Webster, she was a Warsaw resident since 1980. She was employed by Uniroyal/Spartech from 1971 to 2001.  She was a member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society and the Kosciusko County Senior Opportunity Center, all of Warsaw.

 Evelyn Marie Fahl, 83, Columbia City, passed away at 1:52 p.m. Jan. 27, 2017, at the Hearth of Sycamore Village, rural Allen County, where she had resided for five years.  She was born Aug. 20, 1933, in DeKalb County, the daughter of William Thomas and Ione Tucker Perry. She was married to her loving husband, Max Russel Fahl, on April 21, 1951, in Columbia City.  She was raised on the Perry farm near Butler until 1941. Then she and her family moved to Coesse. In 1945 the family moved to their Elm Street home in Columbia City.
