Janavee Prater, 76, Roann, passed away at 7:51 p.m. Jan. 29, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born Nov. 16, 1940, to Creed and Barbara Bradley Flannery in Floyd County, Ky. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church, Claypool, where she was very active serving her Lord in the children’s church and the Ladies Circle, along with many more. She owned and operated her own ceramics shop. She was a cook at the Warsaw Holiday Inn and enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her husband, Mander Prater, Roann; her children: Mander Lee (spouse Luan) Prater, Roann; and Jeff (spouse Chris) Prater and Vanessa (spouse J.C.) Sparks, both of Warsaw; and Jill Anne (spouse Paul) Parker, Akron; two brothers, Marvin (spouse Sandy) Flannery and Curt (spouse Janet) Flannery, both of Claypool; and a sister, Cassie (spouse Dan) Bradley, California. She was preceded by her parents, a great-grandchild, nine brothers and sisters and a son-in-law. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Claypool, with pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
