Harold “Deen” Shepherd, 72, passed away at 6:10 a.m. Monday, May 1, in his home near Sellers Lake. Born on May 4, 1944, in Silver Lake, he was the son of Wayne and Monie May Reffitt Shepherd. They preceded him in death. Deen was a veteran of the United States Army, where he would eventually obtain the rank of sergeant. He was honorably discharged on March 29, 1971, in Fort Riley, Kan.
Mary D. Ettinger, 88, Warsaw, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born on Oct. 22, 1928, to Wilby Bruce and Margaret Nell Floyd Nichols in Beaver Township, Pulaski County. She graduated from Pulaski High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Manchester College and a Master of Science from St. Francis College.
COLUMBIA CITY — Ronda Joy Holloway, 52, Athens, rural Rochester, passed away at 9:25 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017, at her residence with her loving family surrounding her. She was born on Dec. 21, 1964, in Marion, to Ronald E. and Jacqueline L. Magers Neeley. Ronda lived in Warsaw and graduated from Warsaw Community High School with the class of 1982. She graduated from Grace College in 1987 and became a registered nurse. She worked at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw; Milford Nursing Home; Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester; Duke Hospital, Peru; and the Juvenile Children’s Hospital, Logansport.

Joseph Andrew “Andy” Arnold passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. in his Warsaw home. He was 69. Andy was born Dec 24, 1947, in Warsaw. He was the son of Joseph Aaron and Doris Vaughn Arnold. He graduated from Warsaw High School with the class of 1966 and attended nearby Manchester College.
NORTH MANCHESTER — Opal J. Bradley, 89, North Manchester, died at 3:10 a.m. April 30, 2017, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born July 23, 1927, in Floyd County, Ky., to Joe and Maudie Miller McKenzie. She married Aaron Bradley on April 12, 1943. He died on Nov. 16, 2000.
FORT WAYNE — Anita Lynn Myers Garman-Gaby, 48, Elkhart, passed Thursday, April 27, 2017. Formerly of Syracuse, she was a 1987 graduate of Wawasee High School. She had worked at Four Winds International Corp. Anita lived life to the fullest. She loved boating and going to the beach. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, obsessed with cooking shows, and a huge Aerosmith and Nickelback fan. She is survived by her children, Amanda (Lamar Pittman) Garman and Cody Garman; grandsons, Amari and Kaiden; mother, Pamela Myers; siblings: Barb (Frank) Parker, Cindy (Jake) Wilcken and Royce (Becky) Myers; husband, Jon; and maternal grandmother, Iris (Elmer) Chamberlin-Woodcox. She was preceded in death by her father, James Thornburgh; stepfather, Royce Myers; maternal grandfather, Frank Chamberlin; and paternal grandparents, Clyde and Charlene Thornburgh. Diane Kay Martin, 71, Greenwood, passed away at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2017, at St Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. On Aug. 14, 1945, she was born in Warsaw to Everette and Mildred Hamman Dunkleberger. She was united in marriage to Grover Martin, who preceded her in death. Diane lived most of her life in the Warsaw area. She attended Warsaw High School and also worked for Warsaw Collection Agency. In retirement, she moved to Leesburg, Fla., and enjoyed her family, friends, beloved dog BoBo and the sunshine. In October 2015 she moved back to central Indiana to be closer to family.

She was born in Marion to Marcus and Maxine Farfield Enyeart, who preceded her in death. Kimberly received an associate degree and was the supervisor at Walmart Vision Center in Warsaw. She is known for how much she loved being outdoors, whether it was mowing the yard and fishing, or being out on the water and boating. Kimberly loved animals and people, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Loved ones to cherish her memory include her niece, Sarah Williams, Marion; and two cousins, Jim and Larry Long. Jeanette L. Marsh, 88, Warsaw, passed away at 4:10 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017, in Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Milford. On July 5, 1928, she was born in Milford to Emory and Helen Herron Klopentsteine. She was united in marriage to James Marsh on Jan. 2, 1949, in Collamer; he survives. A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Jeanette worked as a selfemployed beautician, working from her home. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Atwood, where she sang in the choir for over 40 years. She also was a member of the Home-Ec Club, Atwood, and ran the election board for many years. Her biggest enjoyment in her life was spending time with her grandkids. Jeanette is survived by her husband, James Marsh, Warsaw; two daughters, Linda Marsh Olinger, Warsaw, and Sandra (and spouse Bruce) Ferguson, Warsaw; three grandchildren, Heather Ferguson Chiu, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Jason and Jackie Ferguson, Warsaw; and one great-granddaughter, Juliet Chiu, Los Angeles.
