Eileen Phebus, 93, Warsaw, died at 6:40 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. Arrangements are pending at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.

ROCHESTER — Diane Henderson Loeffler, 55, Rochester, died at 4:27 p.m. Oct. 23, 2017, at Hickory Creek of Rochester. Arrangements are pending at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester.

MILFORD — Lorabell Jane Buhrt, 83, entered her eternal life in heaven at 3 a.m. Oct. 20, 2017.  She was born March 3, 1934, to Ralph and Grace Hall Newcomer. On Dec. 31, 1953, she married Robert G. Buhrt in Nappanee. 

SYRACUSE – John A. Losee, 66, Darlington, Wis., formerly of Syracuse, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, in Darlington.  Arrangements are pending at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse. 

Shirley Ann Miller, 70 years old at the time, passed away at 10:08 a.m. Oct. 20, 2017, in her Silver Lake home.  Shirley was born Aug. 18, 1947, in Wabash. She was the daughter of Dennis B. and Ruth Helton Johnson. She was united in marriage to her longtime companion, Clyde L. Miller, on May 8, 2007. 

BOURBON — Caralee Stoneburner, 88, Miller’s Merry Manor nursing home, Plymouth, formerly of Bourbon, passed away Oct. 20, 2017.  Caralee was born Jan. 23, 1929, in Argos, to Louis E. Hite and Anna Raye Eaton Hite. She has been a resident of Bourbon since 1954. 

Doreen A. Rosbrugh, 83, North Webster, passed away at 7:08 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, in her residence.  She was born May 6, 1934, to Benjamin H. and Hazel Dormeir Main in Kosciusko County.

COLUMBIA CITY — Barbara L. Lemon, 78, Columbia City, passed away at 5 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 201,7 at her residence.  Born Oct. 2, 1939, in North Webster, she was the daughter of Donald Cecil and Mildred Lucille Miller Adair.

ROCHESTER — Robert E. Knox, 90, Rochester, died at 7:57 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at Woodlawn Hospital.

ROCHESTER — Harold W. Folkerth, 97, Rochester, formerly of Greenville, Ohio, died at 4:04 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at Hickory Creek of Rochester.

Fanny May Beeman, formerly of Warsaw, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, at CrownPointe Assisted Living, Lebanon, at the age of 78.

NORTH MANCHESTER — Carol Ann Schenkel McKee, 81, Silver Lake, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at Peabody Retirement Community.

Linda Sue Justice, 72, passed away at 12:19 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, in Goshen Hospital.  Linda was the daughter of Orville and Mary Belle Stephens Elliott. She was born in Dwale, Ky., but moved with her family to the area when she was 9 years old. 

Marvin W. Klinger, Marion, passed away at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at V.A. Northern Indiana Health Care System in Marion at the age of 77.

Jacqueline Kay Poling, 55, Warsaw, passed away at 8:06 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.  She was born June 20, 1962, in Warsaw, to Steve and Roberta “Bert” Shepherd Bradford. On Oct. 4, 1980, in Warsaw, she was united in marriage to Mark Poling.

COLUMBIA CITY — Michael D. Martin, 67, Columbia City, passed away at 7:55 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, at his home on Big Lake.  Born Nov. 15, 1949, in Warsaw, he was the son of Robert D. and Patricia I. Harris Martin.

Franklin St., Sidney, arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. Bond: $600. • 7:05 p.m. Wednesday – Stephen Joseph Samuel Stump, 40, of 3529 W. CR 100S, Warsaw, arrested for public intoxication. Bond: $600. Property Damage Accidents • 2:02 a.m. Wednesday – Intersection of U.S. 30 and Parker Street, Warsaw. Car hit deer  Driver: Justin Honaker, 32, Lancaster, Calif. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.  • 4:30 p.m. Wednesday – Intersection of Park Avenue and Administration Boulevard, Winona Lake. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Larry Miller, 75, Boys City Drive, Winona Lake; Johnny Walker, 29, Parker Street, Warsaw. Damage:  $5,000 to $10,000. Winona Lake Police Department investigated.  • 5:24 p.m. Wednesday –  Intersection of CR 150W and Executive Drive, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Alfredo Dirico, 80, West Lake Street, Warsaw; Christina Conwell, 44, CR 550W, Warsaw. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. WPD. Incidents • 8:20 a.m. Wednesday – An abandoned bicycle was found in the 1200 block of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. WPD. • 6:10 p.m. Wednesday – Criminal mischief was reported in the 500 block of Harrison Street, Warsaw. WPD.

Theodore “Ted” Roosevelt Brooks Jr., 82, Milford, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.  He was born Jan. 26, 1935, to Theodore Roosevelt and Inez W Brooks in Moulton, Ala. On April 2, 1957, Ted married Ellen Phelps.  Ted honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Milford, and of the Milford Masonic Lodge 418 for 52 years. 

 Cheryll Ross, Glenwood, Iowa, passed away Oct. 17, 2017, at Hillcrest Country Estates in Papillion, Neb.  Cheryll was born Nov. 2, 1945, to William and Margaret Bunn in Newton, Iowa. On Sept. 11, 1965, in Rock Island, Ill., she married Patrick Ross, who preceded her in death on May 9, 2017. 

Michelle "Shelly" Renee Magnus, 50, of Chicago, passed away at 11:06 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at her home after a five-year battle with breast cancer. Born March 31, 1967, in Goshen, she was the daughter of Philip Howard Cripe and Carolyn Sue Grimes Emmert.

Jacqueline Kay Poling, 55, Warsaw,  passed away Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at 8:06 p.m. in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born June 20, 1962, in Warsaw, to Steve and Roberta “Bert” Shepherd Bradford. On Oct.4, 1980, in Warsaw, she was united in marriage to Mark Poling.

BOURBON — Sarah S. Reichert, 75, Bourbon, passed away Oct. 16, 2017, at home.  Sarah was born June 1, 1942, in Huntington, to Kenneth Pouless Wright and Genevra Kelley. She was a 1960 graduate of Nappanee High School, and a graduate of the first dental hygienist class at Indiana University South Bend, "part of the magnificent 7.”
