Dorcas A. Kipker, 84, Warsaw, passed away at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born Dec. 7, 1933, in Warsaw, to Roger and Bessie Snellenberger McConnell. On April 8, 1955, in Warsaw, she was united in marriage to Elzin A. Kipker, who preceded her on Dec. 11, 2016.
Emery J. Brandenburg, 80, Warsaw, went home to heaven at 2:37 a.m. March 1, 2018, at Chapman Place, Fort Wayne. He was born to Edna Floor Brandenburg and Emery Brandenburg in Silver Lake on May 26, 1937. He was a 1955 graduate of Silver Lake High School. Emery was a member of Living Hope Ministries, where he took care of the lawn for 12 years. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa.
Gwendolyn Geraldine Shelestowky Watson, 82, Goshen, formerly of Warsaw and Fort Wayne, died 3:10 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Goshen Hospital. She was born Aug. 19, 1935, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Joseph and Theodosia Faye Mumcher Shelestowky. She married Frank Everett Watson on Aug. 20, 1955, in New Market, Ontario, and he died Feb. 5, 2016.
Lee E. Gadson, 90, North Manchester, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, in Peabody Retirement Home. He was born April 18, 1927, in Marshfield, Wis., to Gail and Alice Miner Gadson. On Jan. 12, 1952, in Rensselear, he was united in marriage to Betty Alberts, who preceded him on Sept. 1, 2017. He was a truck driver and worked for R.R. Donnelley for 19½ years. He was a member of Atwood Otterbein Church.
Harley W. Schmucker, 69, Warsaw, died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, of natural causes at his residence. He was born Nov. 22, 1948, in Sturgis, Mich., to Melvin and Mattie Fry Schmucker. Harley served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was stationed in Alaska.
Susan “Sue” Kay Hobbs, 75, Wabash, died at 6:59 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018, at her residence. She was born April 25, 1942, in Stroh, to Charles and Marjorie McLain Geark. On May 4, 1963, in LaGrange, she married Danny Paul Hobbs; he survives.

Allen D. Keller, 82, Argos, passed away peacefully Friday, March 2, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Allen was born May 15, 1935, in Plymouth, to Cyril and Wanda Hayes-Haddock Keller. A lifelong resident of Marshall County, he worked for Holland’s Hardware in Argos, United Tech in Bourbon and Ritz Craft. Allen honorably served his country in the United States Army.
Archie J. Caudill, 89, took the hand of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018. His earthly departure from his Silver Lake home was attended by his loving family. Archie was born May 24, 1928, in Riceville, Ky. He was the son of Archie M. and Mary Hackworth Caudill.
Diane Gikas, 67, Warsaw, died at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. She was born Sept. 1, 1950, in Martin, Tenn., to Wilber Forrest and Alice Ruth Dilday Felty. On March 17, 1982, in Chicago, Ill., she married Antonio Gikas, who died Dec. 30, 2012.

She was born Feb. 6, 1943, in LaPorte, to Ralph Waldo Johnson and Norma Eleanor Alice Rochlitz Johnson. On Aug. 26, 1962, she was married to Dr. Charles Allan Hollar, who survives in Warsaw.
Robert L. “Bob” Friddle, 87, Leesburg, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at Goshen Hospital. He was born June 9, 1930, in Indianapolis, to Lacel Fay and Eva Lavonne Munden Friddle. He graduated in 1949 from Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis and was a United States Air Force veteran.

Thomas “Glen” Allen, 84, Silver Lake, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Feb. 26, 2018. Glen was born Nov. 10, 1933, to Hatcher and Maudie England Allen. He married Effie Howard on March 12, 1955, in Wabash; she survives. He enjoyed wood working, fishing and hunting. He was a farmer for many years and enjoyed working outside in the garden.
Richard F. Silveus, 85, rural Mentone (Palestine), died at 8:31 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born July 4, 1932, in Milford, to Floyd and Mary Miller Silveus. On Feb. 8, 1957, in Columbia City, he married Lula F. Setser. She survives. He retired in 1995 from Dana Corp., Syracuse, after 34 years with the company.
