NAPPANEE – Charlotte E. Michael, 93, of Lakeland Rehab and Healthcare, Milford, and formerly of Nappanee, died at 6:10 p.m. July 19, 2011. She was born Feb.11, 1918, in Elkhart County, to Jesse and Viola Stouder Frederick. On Feb. 16, 1946, in Elkhart, she married Paul Michael, who died Oct. 21, 1999.

Rita K. Schalk, 73, of Harrison, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Dec. 12, 2011. She was born in Leyland, England, to Harry and Elizabeth Kenyon. Her husband, Richard, survives.
