About Sen.Kerry and John 16.3, the comment was given to me prior to ending my letter and I did not check it out, and for this I do sincerely apologize.

- Good Kids - Congrats, Tom - School Board - Basic Values - Legal System Good Kids Editor, Times-Union: This is an open letter to the Tippecanoe Valley varsity boys basketball team and manager: We hear so many negative things about our youth of today that I wanted to share a very positive moment.

Editor, Times-Union:A little over 40 years ago, my family became involved in a Baptist church at that time, and one of the things being talked about back then (in both the church and some books and literature) was a coming “rapture” or “taking away” of Christians, and the Christian church, from this world, all just prior to the start of what the New Testament book of “The Revelation” calls “a time of great tribulation.”

- Tippy River - Accident Coverage - Adversity - Driving - Animal Control Tippy River Editor, Times-Union: When we think in terms of an endangered species, we generally have vague visions of an exotic creature living "somewhere" away from here. However, we have fish and mussels, which appear on the imperiled list, in our Tippecanoe River.

- Concerned Citizens - Entertaining Article - Cost Of Closing Schools - Atwood - Local Band Concerned Citizens Editor, Times-Union: As you know, on Sept.15 the Warsaw Community School Board of Trustees voted to close three rural elementary schools, Atwood, Claypool and Silver Lake, at the end of this school year.

Editor, Times-Union:Here's a dose of reality, Robert Betances. More than twice in the eight years that Bill Clinton was president, he refused to take Bin Laden.

Often times, the line between public and private is blurry at best. That was never more evident than the recent request by a Winona Lake landowner seeking to have a public right-of-way vacated so he can reclaim use of property he owns. There was just one problem.Forty years ago a private service organization, renowned for its good public works, had been allowed to build a building on the "private" land - 25 years before the current property owner purchased the land. Now, the desire of Jim and Lisa LeMasters seems straightforward enough. They want to build a home on the picturesque and historic island in Winona Lake. They needed more space than their current lot has, so they began searching for the owner of the adjoining property - the property on which the Winona Lake Lions Club building is located - so they could make an offer for it.

Editor, Times-Union:The election is over! When I heard that Mr. Kolbe and the Democrats have joined the “yes” train – Wow! The election is over except for the shouting and counting the “yes” ballots.

Editor, Times-Union:I have the greatest love and respect for Officer Stanley.

Editor, Times-Union:During the week of Sept. 13, 2015, WHPCB521 in Harrisburg ran an update on their coverage of the efforts by concerned citizens and families, who are urging our state’s elected officials to legalize marijuana for medicinal use here.

Editor, Times-Union:I was also going to write a letter in huge support of Leesburg Elementary School principal Mr. Marino.

Editor, Times-Union: As Independence Day approaches, we take time to thank all of our military men and women for the sacrifice they have made for our country. It occurred to me that I have never said thank you to my own family members who have served. I have taken the sacrifice they have made for granted.

Editor, Times-Union:My name is Michael Meade Jr. For sometime I have been searching for a half brother and sister. We share the same father.

Editor, Times-Union:We want to apologize for the anger that the last article of the Center has caused some people.

Editor, Times-Union: Perhaps I should be judged as one of the worst cynics in the lower 48. The American consumer is not getting what he pays for. If it weren’t for good-old-fashioned greed of all sorts of businesses, fake organizations and some not-so-fake asking for donations and the gullible consumer, where would our economy be? Whatever happened to old-fashioned honesty?

Editor, Times-Union:A recent library column made a statement that I question.

Editor, Times-Union:As you may or may not know, the Indiana General Assembly is back in session for the 2014 Short Session.

Editor, Times-Union:Much of the current debate between now and election day will involve important questions surrounding health insurance, health care and Medicare. Medicare beneficiaries will soon have many insurance companies that offer Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage in pursuit of them to enroll in the company plans for 2013. A reminder to Medicare beneficiaries that they should carefully consider their votes and their personal choices for coverage is very much in order.

Editor, Times-Union:My top 10 reasons for voting for Curt Nisly for District 22:

Editor, Times-Union:If any of you readers out there are like me, you are tired of politicians.

Editor, Times-Union:Lately, I haven't noticed any discussion about the extensions of the runways and the closing of the road bordering the airport on the east.

Editor, Times-Union:When Bush first took office in 2000, the anti-gunners knew they would get little or nothing past him so they decided to take their battle to the states.

Editor, Times-Union:My father is an amazing person. He has worked hard to keep our home a home.

Editor, Times-Union:Don't know how many of you read Gary's editorial on Saturday about the plight of a fellow with the made-up name of Bob.

Editor, Times-Union:Secrets, secrets everywhere.
