Editor, Times-Union:Regardless of what one believes about the homeless shelter being located in the downtown area, an opportunity exists to join with one downtown merchant in serving those less fortunate.

Editor, Times-Union:Unless the intrusion of a CAFO affects you personally, you are probably thinking it does not deserve your concern.

Editor, Times-Union:Mr. Smith, thank you for your response. It was very articulate and I am glad you took the time to write it. Just to make it clear, your letter tells me nothing new as I have studied our enemies for many years. Hell, I’ve even broke bread with them.

Editor, Times-Union: Local vets refused to treat our young puppy because we didn’t have money upfront. The puppy ended up dying because of no medical help.

Editor, Times-Union:Obama and Joe Donnelly are making a great noise about State Senate candidate Mourdock’s statement regarding God’s will in the matter of abortions for rape victims. The Christian response that Mourdock made was to verify that the creation of life is God’s will. That statement is not inconsistent with the Bible which holds that all life is a blessing from God.

Editor, Times-Union:Apparently my "Socialist" rantings have resulted in getting Mr. Kitson's knickers in quite a twist.

Editor, Times-Union: After reading your “View” of the airport expansion I believe you left out one very important point that nobody is talking about.

Editor, Times-Union:I noticed a story about a holy military tank that caught my attention.

Editor, Times-Union:"I'm the president and the buck stops with me." Yeah, right!

Editor, Times-Union:This week our city council reviewed yet another ordinance for taxation. This one is to handle storm water.

Mission truly accomplished. U.S. troops finally kill Osama Bin Laden. Although many of us had hoped to hear those words said, many of us were resigned to the possibility that Bin Laden would die peacefully in a cave without facing the justice he deserved. Thanks to our troops and members of our much maligned intelligence community that will not happen.

Editor, Times-Union:I am writing in support of legalizing marijuana, at least for medicinal use. This is from my own observation.

Editor, Times-Union:Sometimes I am amazed at where you can resource information.

Editor, Times-Union:Where Are They?Where is "My Man Mitch" or State Rep. Dave Wolkins? Why aren't they speaking out on the "high tax" situation in Warsaw or Kosciusko County? Namely, for the people living on Winona Lake.

Editor, Times-Union:As a long-time Lugar supporter, it pains me to see that we have replaced a true statesman with this dolt. I think we should start a “Retire Mourdock” tour as some of the disrespectful locals did with Lugar.

Editor, Times-Union:On Dec. 21 my van was vandalized during an attempted theft.

The day after the State of the Union, it was announced that the national debt was $5.49 trillion. If you don't have any money in your pocket or bank account and someone owes you $100.At the same time you owe $5,000 as a debt on your house. Then you are paid the $100 but instead of making your house payment you buy something else.It will not take long until you lose your house. This is the same situation that the government is in.

Editor, Times-Union:I see so many of you speaking out against the corruption and socialism that is being pushed through our country and its government.
