Editor, Times-Union:Our governor, Mike Pence, ran as a freedom-loving, big government-hating candidate. It seems, however, he may have been a bit deceitful.

Editor, Times-Union: It’s very disturbing to me that our justice system will not take the children’s part in custody and visitation issues. When a mother has turned in papers to the judge to read and they don’t even read it, there’s something wrong.

- Supports Daniels - Supports Sanders - Abstain From Sex Supports Daniels Editor, Times-Union: There is a need for change in the leadership of the State of Indiana. If we look for a moment at our home of Kosciusko County, and then look beyond its borders to the other communities that comprise our great state, we will see a foundation for reform and a basis for rethinking the governmental strategies for putting Indiana in a positive position relative to other states.
The more I'm around Mark Souder the more I like him. He's mellowed or maybe I have because my regard for him has grown over the years. He used to be one of those people I call tape-talkers.It's my own little label and refers to folks who get started on a subject, stop their mental tape to answer a question, then turn the tape back on, starting again where they left off. The ability some people have to stay with a topic is something I admire. When I'm speaking, a raised eyebrow will throw me off. However, I'm paid to listen and observe, as my boss likes to remind me, not pontificate. I've listened to Mark Souder for a good portion of his Congressional career. When he was a junior representative (taking the oath in 1994) he was a tape-talker guy.I covered his visits to Whitley County when he was the Fourth District representative.
Editor, Times-Union: Aaron, your numbers are a bit off, but I’m more interested in sharing another perspective than refuting your numbers.
Editor, Times-Union:I knew it was only a matter of time before my good buddy Gary G. gave into tabloidian temptation that the latest Ann Coulter gaffe has presented.

- Stolen Decorations Stolen Decorations Editor, Times-Union: I was truly saddened to hear Roy and Jean Bradbury speak of their loss of having Christmas decorations stolen from their yard. It is very sad when people use Christmas - a time of joy and sharing, to steal anything. My heart goes out to the feelings of hurt they feel over someone having the nerve to "drive by a property" and steal something beautiful that represents hard work and sentimental value. Unless they have a license plate number of the vehicle in question, they would not have any idea if the thieves (and that is what they were) were from Warsaw? It could be someone passing through or are from other parts of the county or elsewhere.
Editor, Times-Union:It was implied that Mr. Metzger dishonored President Bush by not referring to him as President. Georgie Boy Bush and Never Look, But Shoot Anyway Cheney may be president and vice president of this country, but that does not mean they deserve the respect that these offices hold. In reality, both, according to the Constitution, should've been impeached from office. If it wasn't for their elitist establishment member friends in Congress who were in positions to never let any hearings be held, they would've been. But then all may not be lost for there are those who have the money and the power to bring Crimes Against Humanity on both of them when they leave office.
Editor, Times-Union:Ms. Kubacki, in responding you chose to continue to define yourself as pro-life and catholic.

- Fahrenheit Veracity - Hypothetical - Conservative Christians - Trash Removal Fahrenheit Veracity Editor, Times-Union: I enjoy reading the letters to the editor.I think the public debate of issues is useful.I specifically have found the letters regarding Michael Moore's movie "Fahrenheit 9/11" interesting. I am trying to figure out whom to vote for in the next election.I want to vote for candidates who have high integrity, common sense, are fiscally responsible and who will vote or lead in the best interests of their constituents, their community and their nation regardless of special interests or political party interests.I encourage others to join me in trying to be conscientious, truth-seeking voters.
- Pro-Ethanol - Indiana Business - Vote! - Ruppel Failure - Church Practice - Time To Pro-Ethanol Editor, Times-Union: How come Northern Indiana doesn't get it? It's a simple question I have been asking myself since the debate of the Claypool biofuels plant came up to discussion. Now Milford, a largely agricultural community, doesn't get it either.Instead, I see complaints and concerns with no hard evidence backing these claims up.
- Call To Action Call To Action Editor, Times-Union: Your help is needed to stop the lake homeowners associations, the Area Plan Commission and your elected county commissioners from approving a plan to keep you off the lakes you pay to maintain. The plan commission voted on Sept.6 to approve the "anti-funneling" issue that you've heard about (front page Sept.7), but you still know so little about. This concerns you if you use the lakes and/or might want to in the future, or maybe buy a lot in a nice subdivision and build a home with lake access, or maybe like to see good industry come here to offer good jobs.

- Drug Response - Bloodmobile - Winona Alcohol Drug Response Editor, Times Union: Glenda Moser, I never wrote that drugs were not life threatening.I said I did not want my tax dollars spent housing drug users in some prison country club where they can get all the drugs they desire.I also never said anything about dealers, only users. And yes, drugs do affect people in a negative way, I never said they didn't.So do a lot of other things such as alcoholism, gambling, poverty, etc.
Editor, Times-Union: Here are the Indiana politicians that voted for the renewal of the USA Patriot Act and once again sold out our Constitution: Sen. Dick Lugar, Sen. Dan Coats.
