Zelvia 'Tincy' Newsome Gayheart

Zelvia “Tincy” Newsome Gayheart, 77, of Claypool, went to be with our Lord and Savior at 2:48 a.m. Sept. 12, 2012, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born April 16, 1935, in Floyd County, Ky., to Perry and Nola Sword Newsome.

She has lived her life in Floyd County and Kosciusko County. She was a homemaker and a member of Early Apostolic Bible Training Center, Claypool. She was a licensed minister and was the first honorary mother of the church. She enjoyed serving the Lord and traveling.

Surviving are three daughters: Carolyn Sue (and spouse Sterling) Hall, Fort Wayne; Rosalind (and spouse Jimmy) Gillespie, Floyd County; and Regina (and spouse Stephen B.) Poe, Claypool; five sons: Dewey Gayheart, Jimmy (and spouse Julia) Gayheart and Shannon Gayheart, all of Warsaw; Reginald Jr. (and spouse Holly) Gayheart, Loudonville, Ohio; and Paul (and spouse Nita) Gayheart, Claypool; two brothers, Cornelius (and spouse Judy Faye) Newsome, Warsaw, and William Lee Newsome, Willard, Ohio; 29 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by a son, Elvis Dean Gayheart; four brothers and five sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Early Apostolic Bible Training Center, 6800 S. Ind. 15 Claypool, with Pastor Dean Ealey officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the church.
