NORTH WEBSTER – Zachaery Jay “Zach” Cox, 19, Pierceton, passed away Nov. 14, 2013. He was born March 20, 1994, in Nampa, Idaho, to Nicholas J. “Nick” and Michelle L. Minnick Cox. He lived most of his life in the Kosciusko County area, having moved here from Idaho when he was 3. He graduated in 2013 from Whitko High School in South Whitley. He was employed at Biomet and formerly worked at Applebee’s and Taco Bell, all in Warsaw. He formerly attended the New Hope Wesleyan Church in Columbia City. He loved the big cities of Chicago and New York, all kinds of music, nature, his dogs and he had an infectious smile. Surviving are his parents, Pierceton; a sister, Alexandra Cox, Pierceton; a brother, Nicholas D. Cox, Pierceton and serving in Okinawa, Japan; grandparents, Sandra Minnick, Warsaw, and Jay and Carol Cox, Nyssa, Ore.; great-grandmother, Phyllis Bauer, North Webster; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster with Pastor Shane Wilson of the church officiating.
