Just a tip to all the working stiffs out there. Especially the punch-the-clock types. Call your congressman and senators and back the Employees Free Choice Act. To find out more, call 202-637-5018 or go to www.employeefreechoiceact.org on the Web.
On another subject, three people were mangled last week in a traffic accident a block from my house. The curve on Ind. 25 at Ferguson Road is not that dangerous, even with snow on it.
A big gas hog pickup driving too fast for ice is a weapon, not a means of transportation. Observing a truck coming sideways at you down the highway is a hell of a way to start a day.
Guard rails on that curve would solve most of the problems, except the one I just mentioned. Someone told me the state highway people would not allow guard rails on that curve. Maybe it's time for the peasants to march on the state highway offices with clubs, pitchforks and bad attitudes.
In the meantime, I will buy an old auto wrecker and set it at that corner with my cell phone number and make a small fortune dragging the cars out of the ditch.
