Women's Health Education Series Sept. 12-Oct. 18 At Kosciusko Community Hospital

Six complimentary sessions will occur Thursday evenings in the Kosciusko Community Hospital Women’s Health Classroom.
The classes seek to empower women through education by learning more about specialized women’s healthcare that improve a woman’s well-being. The classroom can be accessed by entering the front entrace of the hospiotal.
Attendees are welcome to participate in the full series or individual sessions. Light refreshments will be served.

The following seminars, all from 6 to 7 p.m., are planned:
• Sept. 12: pelvic pain, endometriosis and fibroids with speaker Luis Gonzalez, MD - OB/GYN. The sources of pelvic pain will be discussed, including symptons and treatment options.
• Sept. 19: misconception of contraception with speaker Cory Stokes, MSN, CNM, Midwife. Non-hormonal and natural family planning will be discussed as well as the spectrum of available planning options.
• Sept. 26: Part 1 of preparation, conception and early pregnancy with Stokes speaking about care prior to conception.
• Oct. 3: Part 2 titled pregnancy, delivery and postpartum care with Stokes answering questions about natural labor, spidural and everything in between.
• Oct. 10: hormones and your health: managing the ups and downs, with Gonzalez speaking about topics including fertility, PCOS, PMS and the goal to achieve a healthy balanced hormone level.
• Oct. 17: feeling fabulous after 40, with Gonzalez speaking about how to manage menopaus and hormonal changes women often experience after age 40.
