Woman Allegedly Bites Medic After OverdoseA Warsaw woman is facing charges after she allegedly had to be revived from a drug overdose then bit the medic on the hand.
Heather Ann Rensberger, 25, of 3080 Old Colony Road, Warsaw, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 5:13 a.m. Monday and is charged with battery to a public safety official, a Level 6 felony; and battery, a Class A misdemeanor.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed Thursday in Kosciusko Superior Court II, on March 25 an ambulance was dispatched to a local fast food restaurant in reference to an unresponsive female – later identified as Rensberger.
The medics administered narcan to counteract the morphine that Rensberger allegedly admitted taking.
According to court papers, after being revived and while in the ambulance, Rensberger became combative, grabbed one of the medic’s shirts, then bit the medic’s hand.
