WIOE Radio on Monday, Oct. 5 turned 25 years old. In 2001, Oct. 5 was a Friday and WIOE signed on at noon on 98.3 FM where the FCC originally licensed the radio station. In March 2015, WIOE moved to their current frequency of 101.1. Four years later, WIOE grew again with the addition of 1450AM and 104.3FM in Fort Wayne. Now 25 years later since their first broadcast day, WIOE broadcasts on three frequencies across Northern Indiana, lower Michigan, Northwest Ohio and globally at WIOE.COM, playing oldies music with news, weather, school announcements and live broadcasts all over.
