Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
Editor, Times-Union:
Did you know many in Winona Lake do not know the entire town can vote for any of the council candidates, contested or not contested. Winona Lake citizens, please vote in the primary, regardless of your choice. It is your right!
Yes, everyone in Winona Lake, you can vote for me, Jerold (Jerry) Nelson, your candidate for councilman for Ward 3 Winona Lake, IN, even though you are in a different ward. The whole town votes for every candidate. I need your vote to fill this position as I do have opposition. Why me? I regularly attended council meetings since we moved here nearly 30 years ago, always looking for good and trying to think wisely. My involvement with the council has not been unappreciated as I was appointed to the Winona Lake Plan Commission over 10 years ago and still serve on it. If I become the Ward 3 councilman, I will commit to God, family and Winona Lake.
The May 5, 2026, primary election is a point of decision, not so much who you are going to vote for but if you want to vote at all. Primaries often have a low turnout. Let us make a difference this time!
If you have true knowledge about Winona Lake Town Council, I think you will remember me and will give me your vote. There is such a great future ahead for Winona Lake!
