WINONA LAKE – The Winona Lake Town Council held a five-minute special meeting Tuesday to award bids for three projects.
The first bid was awarded to Phend & Brown for the CR 250E and Pierceton Road roundabout project for $645,190.
The second winning bid for the mill and resurfacing projects south on Park Avenue and Legacy Lane in the Heritage Park subdivision was awarded to Niblock Excavating for $71,348.75.
Town Manager Craig Allebach said these projects are all part of the Community Crossings Grant program Winona Lake was awarded and that the two milling and resurfacing projects will be done before the snow flies.
Allebach said he hopes work will begin on the roundabout by the spring, but that the town had until Friday to submit paperwork for the work.
