MENTONE – Wilma M. Ritter, 73, Akron, passed away Aug. 7, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. She was born Nov. 20, 1941, in Warsaw, to Robert and June Baker Reed. She was a polisher at Zimmer for over 25 years. She got her start in the earlier years at Hand Industries. She was a graduate of Mentone High School. She was always giving of her time at the food pantry and at Our Father’s House, both of Warsaw. She enjoyed reading, canning, gardening and being a grandma. Survivors are: a daughter, Virginia (and spouse Neal) Pettit, Claypool; a son, Howard Ritter, Akron; four grandsons, Dylan, Taylor, Shane and Travis; two sisters, Sandra Snell, Warsaw, and Karen Lewis, Burket; two brothers, Allen (and spouse Judy) Lowry, Warsaw, and Rick Lowry, Goshen; and two great-grandchildren, Karter and Paysen. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, David Lowry, and two sisters, Darlene Moore and Patty Stambaugh. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with Pastor William Whitaker officiating. Burial is in Nichols Cemetery, Akron.
