NAPPANEE - Wilma I. Sparks, 80, of 5350 West Summy Road, Leesburg, died at 12:01 p.m. Oct. 3, 2007, in Goshen General Hospital.

She was born March 10, 1927, in Nappanee, to Elmer and Hattie Heinke Krou. On March 13, 1948, in Nappanee, she married Max Sparks, who survives.

A lifetime area resident, she was a graduate of Atwood High School. She was a farm wife and worked at Coppes Kitchens, Nappanee. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Church of God.

Also surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Ronald (Barbara) Taylor, Bremen; Mrs. David (Beverly) Huffman, Leesburg; a son, Jim Sparks, Pierceton; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lowell Krou, Winona Lake; and a sister, Mildred Bohde, Ellettsville. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with the Revs. Stan Owen and Daniel Huffman officiating. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
