ROCHESTER - William Eugene "Curly" Baker, 82 of 2843 N. CR 400W, Rochester, died at 11:58 p.m. Jan. 17, 2010, in the emergency room of Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.
He was born Nov. 1, 1927, to William and Tressie Dehm Baker. On Oct. 13, 1948, he married Mary Ruth Kuhn, who died March 1, 1953.
He was a 1945 Richland Center High School graduate. He worked at Rochester Metal Products for 40 years and was a farmer, planting corn, beans and wheat and raising Hampshire pigs.
Surviving are a special friend, Wilma June Hart, Rochester; a son, Mickey (and spouse Connie) Baker, Rochester; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Conwell, Rochester, and Betty (and spouse Bob) Alderfer, Yuba City, Calif.; and a brother, Kenny (and spouse Jean) Baker, Rochester. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and three brothers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Don Nunemaker officiating. Burial will be in Richland Center IOOF Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the funeral Thursday at the funeral home.
