Wilkins Sworn In As Claypool OfficerCLAYPOOL - At Tuesday night's Claypool Town Council meeting, Nick Wilkins was sworn in by Town Marshal Ben Sanders as a new reserve deputy marshal for the town.
Wilkins formerly served with the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
In other business, the council discussed recycling service following a letter residents received from Borden, who subcontracts SiteWorx for recycling service in the area. A cost for recycling would be $6 per month for individual households or a $4-per-month charge if the entire town would opt in to add recycling pickup.
Council member Gene Warner suggested having a Borden or SiteWorx representative attend the next meeting to explain these services.
The Council approved a $1 wage increase for the assistant utilities superintendent after getting his wastewater certification.
