Editor, Times-Union: A plan has been proposed to dam White River near Anderson. The plan is to sell the water to Indianapolis and turn the lake and surrounding land into another Geist Reservoir so a few people can make a lot of money selling expensive lakefront homes. Building the reservoir would destroy White River from the dam to Daleville. It would also destroy trail 5, The Fen and endanger, if not destroy, at least one mound in the State Park. Those things belong to every citizen in Indiana. Not just a few. That’s you, your children and grandchildren. As owners you and yours have the right to use them. If they are destroyed that right will have been taken away. If some day your children or grandchildren ask what you did to stop it, what will you say? “I objected to every official and agency I could,” or “Oh, I didn’t do anything.
