FORT WAYNE – Parkview Health announced the appointment of Joe Weldon as president of UpVia Health, a management services company dedicated to empowering hospitals and physician groups with scalable solutions that enhance financial performance, operational efficiency and clinical care. Launched in June 2025, Upvia Health was created to help providers thrive in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. The company offers a comprehensive suite of services, including revenue cycle management, pharmacy operations, supply chain and group purchasing, virtual care solutions and access to the Epic electronic medical record through Parkview Connect. “Success for Upvia Health is when hospitals of all sizes gain access to the scale, services and operational efficiencies they need – so they can stay focused on delivering great care,” said Weldon. “I’m excited to be a part of this team and help drive that success.”
As president, Weldon will oversee growth strategies, strengthen partnerships with hospitals and physician groups, and guide initiatives that align with Upvia Health’s mission to elevate performance while preserving independence.
“Hospitals are essential to the health and vitality of their communities,” said Dr. Ray Dusman, president of physician and clinical enterprise, Parkview Health. “Upvia Health is committed to giving hospitals access to the same solutions and scale as the larger systems, so they can remain independent when they choose to and strengthen their operations across all settings.”
UpVia Health has been led by Interim President Lainie Dean since it was announced earlier this year. Dean supported the company’s development and initial launch and was recently selected to lead Parkview Health’s Ohio growth initiatives.
“I’m honored to have been a part of UpVia’s creation,” Dean said. “I’m passionate about the impact this company can have on independent community hospitals and look forward to handing the reins over to a seasoned healthcare leader like Joe. He will surely take UpVia to new heights.”
