NORTH MANCHESTER - Weldon F. Bell, 81, of North Manchester, and formerly of Miami County, died at 12:05 p.m. Oct. 1, 2008, in his residence.

He was born Nov. 21, 1926, in Miami County, to John Q. and Martha Coblentz Bell. On Jan. 22, 1954, he married Glorea A. Grossnickle, who survives.

He was a farmer and accountant in North Manchester for 45 years. He was a member of Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester; a 1944 Chili High School graduate; and a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War, stationed in Japan.

Also surviving are four daughters, Sharlyn K., Lori A., Sandra D. and Jennifer L. Bell, all of North Manchester; and a sister, Lillian (and spouse Michael) Lawrence, Denver.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester.

Calling is from 1 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
