“We Have Been Blessed!!!!’ was the subject line in an email sent out by Rose Home North board president Tammy Cotton.
She was reacting a recent gift to Rose Home – a Christian not-for-profit transitional living home for women who choose to recover from drug and alcohol addictions – from the North Webster Church of God.
“It was surreal, to say the least. We watched as a big box truck from Lowe's drove up the driveway,” Cotton wrote in the email.
“Inside was a washer/dryer, chest freezer and upright freezer.”
She explained that pastors Tim Jones and Jeff Boyer from the church were both there, along with a trailer full of living room furniture and a check from the congregation.
“Two members of church were as well, and they all stayed until every item was put in its place and all work was done!” Cotton added.
A church spokesman said the donation was part of a congregation wide effort to help Rose Home, Fellowship Missions and the Wawasee Boomerang Backpack program.
