WCS Responds To Gas Odor At EdgewoodThis morning, Edgewood Middle School staff reported the faint smell of gas at their building’s location. As a precaution, staff relocated students to Washington STEM Academy and contacted NIPSCO to check the building, according to a news release from Warsaw Community Schools. At approximately 8:40 a.m., staff and students were given the all-clear report from Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory to reenter the building. The release states, “Thank you to Edgewood Middle School staff and Warsaw Fire Department for their quick work in ensuring student safety.” In the photo, emergency personnel check the gas meter on the southeast corner of the school.
