Staff Report-
SYRACUSE – The grounds of Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation will be buzzing with activity on May 1 for the free Earth Day Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be 20 different activities/exhibits for everyone to enjoy.
Would you like to see a raptor? Learn about different ducks that visit our watershed? How about face-painting or bird migrations? Have you ever seen a muzzle loading gun or heard it shoot? Where can we explore wild spaces on trails in our county?
There will be hand-carved ducks and birds for sale plus fish spearing lures, too. Want to learn how to do geocaching? Have you ever made a butterfly net? These are some great activities but there’s more.
WACF is located at 11586 Ind. 13, Syracuse. Stop at the registration tent first for some free goodies, then have fun at each of the exhibits.
