A Warsaw man will serve four years in prison for possessing images depicting child sex abuse material.
Brandon Lee Palmer, 28, of 2519 E. Center St., Warsaw, was sentenced on two counts of possession of child sex abuse material, both level 5 felonies.
Palmer was sentenced in Kosciusko Superior Court I on Thursday, June 11.
For each count, Kosciusko Superior Court I Judge Karin McGrath sentenced Palmer to four years in the Indiana Department of Correction, with two years executed and two years suspended on probation. Both counts will be served back-to-back to each other.
In total, Palmer received an eight-year sentence, with four years executed and four years on probation.
Palmer has 141 days of jail time credit. He must also register as a sex offender.
McGrath noted Palmer had discussed in his pre-sentence investigation report that he felt "ashamed and disgusted with himself" and that he "understood the depravity of his behavior."
"I hope that's true," said McGrath.
Affidavit Of Probable Cause
An Indiana State Police detective received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a cyber tip from Sept. 16, 2024, regarding apparent child sex abuse material.
According to court documents, uploads of child sex abuse material were completed in June 2025 from an IP address at the Wyndham Gardens hotel in Warsaw. The tips law enforcement received were linked by a username, Gmail account or IP address associated with uploads and logins to Palmer's accounts. Officers executed a search warrant for Palmer's hotel room in January 2026.
In an interview with police, Palmer admitted to looking at hentai that depicted people under the age of 18. He indicated he didn't know it was illegal but admitted to being aroused by it.
