A Warsaw man will serve five years in prison after asking a child for inappropriate pictures.
Felipe Santizo-Ramos, 29, of 504 Frazier St., Warsaw, was sentenced for child solicitation, a level 4 felony; and possession of child sex abuse material, a level 6 felony. A promoting prostitution charge was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
Santizo-Ramos was sentenced in Kosciusko Superior Court I on Thursday, Aug. 6.
For child solicitation, Kosciusko Superior Court I Judge Karin McGrath sentenced Santizo-Ramos to 10 years in the Indiana Department of Correction, with five years executed and five years fully suspended. Santizo-Ramos also received a two-year DOC sentence for possession of CSAM. Both sentences will be served at the same time.
In total, Santizo-Ramos received a 10-year DOC sentence, with five years executed and five years fully suspended.
Santizo-Ramos has 219 days of jail time credit. A no-contact order between Santizo-Ramos and the victim in this case remains in effect. Santizo-Ramos must also register as a sex offender and is trespassed from the child's residence.
It was also noted there is an immigration hold on Santizo-Ramos.
At sentencing, Defense Attorney Austin Rovenstine said there was "nothing to justify" Santizo-Ramos' actions but noted he quickly accepted responsibility for what occurred and is remorseful for what he did.
Affidavit Of Probable Cause
On Dec. 29, 2025, a Warsaw detective conducted a follow-up investigation regarding crimes against a child.
According to court documents, the detective found messages between the child and Santizo-Ramos upon searching the child's cellphone. The messages included the child sending inappropriate images of themselves to Santizo-Ramos, who also sent images of himself to the child.
Santizo-Ramos told police he didn't know the child was underage.
