A man who called police and said someone hacked his computer is facing charges for possession of child porn and lying.
Christopher Michael Carson, 32, of 542 Clinic Court, Warsaw, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 3:43 p.m. Thursday and faces charges for possession of child pornography, a Level 6 felony; and false informing, a Class B misdemeanor.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed Monday in Kosciusko Superior Court I, at 9:21 p.m. Wednesday, a Warsaw police officer was asked to return a phone call from Carson regarding someone hacking into his computer account.
When police spoke with Carson, he was frantic and said someone had hacked his Skype account and received nude photos from a 15-year-old girl and now he was being called a pedophile and Carson wanted to know what he could do about it.
Carson told police that not only was he hacked, but he was also locked out of his computer and that he did “not send a single thing” to the teen.
When police took Carson’s cellphone and laptop for examination, according to court papers, they found several other conversations and nude or sexually explicit photos and videos between Carson and underage girls. Police also found a folder dated Oct. 15, 2015, that had several images of Hentai porn. Hentai porn is anime porn.
When police asked Carson to come to the station for a chat, Carson initially kept up with the hacked account story, but eventually admitted to police that he was responsible for the underage porn found on his computer. Carson blamed the Hentai porn on his wife, according to court papers.
