MARSHALL COUNTY - A Warsaw man was arrested on driving while intoxicated and reckless driving charges after driving 100 mph.
At around 7:44 p.m. Saturday, according to a Marshall County Sheriff’s Department news release, Marshall County deputy Matt Geiger stopped a white Toyota Highlander for speeding 100 mph in a posted 60 mph zone on U.S. 30 near Hawthorn Road. The driver was identified as Jason A. Erne, 27, of Warsaw.
Law enforcement learned Erne had been drinking. He was given field sobriety tests and a certified test. Erne tested at .12% BAC and was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and reckless driving. He was taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked on the charges and he was given a court date and a cash bond of $1,500.
